Hello everyone!! Today is FINALLY the day we’ve all been waiting for…. On this day back on May 12th 1945, The Reverend Wilbert Awdry wrote stories about engines to his son Christopher who fell ill with measles, it all started with Three Railway Engines about Edward, Henry and Gordon and then in Book 2 we were introduced to the most iconic tank engine that every generation has gone to love for many years a cheeky blue tank engine with the number 1 called Thomas! And ever since… Wilbert Awdry has written more books till 1973 and then his son Christopher wrote more books up to 2011 and to this day every one still reads and cherished these stories to where in 1984 a woman named Britt Allcroft created a television show about Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends starting with models and then later transition into the CGI series up to Season 24!! And despite most seasons being good and some being bad or terrible, every generation enjoyed what it had to offer with important lessons and values! And every fan of Thomas who grew up with the books or show own as many merchandise from toys to books to videos and DVD’s to clothes and even some custom made models that fans create with passion! And to this day we still hold the magic of Thomas throughout the fan base! And this year has been quite an interesting one so far! Sadly Britt Allcroft is no longer with us and we still remember what she brought to us! And just recently the lost Down the Mine pilot has been recreated to the public which was BIG! And with news about upcoming plans for the future of Thomas we can only hope it will something for old and new fans to enjoy! So to celebrate the 80th anniversary I decided to make a TMV with a recent rendition of the most popular song Thomas You’re the Leader by Geek Music! As much as I still prefer the original song, I think this one was just as good! This one was such a challenging one to edit with finding footage for both the model and CGI era but in the end I think it payed off pretty well!! So to every one of those people out there… Thank you ever so much for keeping the legacy of Thomas and his friends alive to this day! And this is dedicated to both Rev. W. Awdry, Britt Allcroft, David Mitton, George Carlin and Michael Angelis who are no longer with us and we are still grateful for those who also worked for Thomas are still around to this day! Happy 80th anniversary to our favorite Number 1 Blue Tank Engine and how the Railway Series got started!!
