Arthur Jacob Arshawsky (1910-2004), commonly known as Artie Shaw, was an American clarinetist, composer, and band leader. Today Shaw is remarked as one of jazz's finest clarinetists. This is a recording of Artie Shaw and his orchestra preforming "Stardust" live in 1940.
"Stardust" was a song written by Hoagy Carmichael and Mitchell Parish in 1927. The song's original recording was by Hoagy Carmichel and his orchestra also in 1927. It is today known as one of the greatest jazz songs of all time.
