Celebrating the 49th anniversary of Sheer Heart Attack, I feel there's no better time to give you a glimpse of what I've been working on the last year or so!

I've grown to appreciate this album WAY more than I ever did before, as it can finally be heard on digital format the way the band intended it to sound (which beats the crap out of all CD versions) 🙌 Using various techniques, I've been able to undo ALL the poor remastering choices used on the digital versions of the album (trust me, there were a lot). This includes EQ choices, as well as volume fluctuations (where certain parts of songs get really loud for no reason) and even down to the really fine details such as the exact spacing between each track. There's a reason it's taken me nearly a year to get to this point 😅

(For now at least) I'm calling this a "RESTORATION" project rather than remaster, as I've taken zero of my own liberties to bring the sound to where it is now. My efforts have solely been put towards making this as faithful as humanly possible to the original release on vinyl (of course not including the analog artifacts 🤣).

As I prepare to unleash the project in its entirety (yes, I'm tackling all the albums), I'll be diving much deeper into what the project has entailed, where I've sourced everything from, each specific alteration that's been made and why, visual comparisons with the original state vs final product, and of course eventually providing you with download links (which will include a printable replica mini LP-sleeve to fit your CDs - see our community post for a preview).
