Description
A nostalgic look at Tahiti and the schooner TIKI, which was specially built for the TV series starring Gardner McKay. He played Captain Troy, captain of the freelance schooner. The series was created by famed author, James Michener who sold the idea to ABC. Dorcas Cochran and Lionel Newman composed the beautiful theme music for the show. For a few episodes, they collaborated with Henry Mancini (1924-1994), winner of Best Music Oscar for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" song, "Moon River".
