Description
Hey everyone! Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Carl Verheyen Licks From 2017. I've had a number of requests to feature some of Carl's music and while he might not be a household name to most out there, he has held guitar duty in the band Supertramp since the mid-1980s, not to mention becoming a successful solo artist under his own name, and has worked with an impressive list of musicians and groups/bands onstage and behind-the-scenes over the years, as he's been a "hired gun" session/studio ace for the majority of his career.
This lesson features a number of ideas pulled from a live performance Carl gave somewhere in Europe in 2017 (I was unable to find the location of the footage) and features him strutting his stuff over a variety of material, but it was his inspired rendition of Hendrix's classic 'Little Wing' that caught my attention and the source of everything featured in this lesson.
This includes plenty of Carl's signature intervallic licks in action - including a slick hybrid-picked intervallic idea, a smooth bluesy phrase, an interesting slip-n-slide melodic idea, a finger-twisting wild intervallic phrase, and more!
Needless to say, if you're a fan of Carl Verheyen's music, a fan of unique rock guitar ideas, or a player searching for some new licks to stick in their "bag of tricks" - this lesson is totally for you!
